The Power of Foresight

What is foresight?
According to the dictionary, it is the ability to think ahead, to envision possible future obstacles, to see beforehand things to come.
If there is one thing that will set you apart in the times we are, it is this rare quality called 'foresight'. Foresight helps you position yourself accurately for the time to come; it helps you prepare for challenges and opportunities before they finally show up. Hear what King Solomon of ancient Israel said: "A prudent man foresees the evil and hide himself; but the simple pass on and are punished".  The 'simple' here is someone that is naive or foolish, King Solomon called a man without foresight 'simple'. And what happens to the 'simple'? He is beaten with stripes in life.
May I inform you that men with foresight today are those that will take the lead in the days to come. This has repeated itself again and again all through history. They are always a minority set of people yet leading the majority. They are those that will set the pace on the economic and socio-political scene.
Joseph was such a man in his time. He saw ahead of all of Egypt and many other nations a coming famine. He therefore stored up enough food to cater for the 7yrs of famine. By his rare gift of foresight, he became the prime minister of the Egypt, the then world power.
You must be able to foresee change before it comes. Have foresight.

'Our deepest fear'

This is one poem I read that really inspired me and I'm sure will inspire you too.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light not our darkness that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, ‘who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?’
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fears, our presence automatically liberates others.

Check your deepest self: are you not sub-consciously afraid of  getting so great, successful, wealthy? Are you not repelling your own success by that deep-rooted fear?
